Before I tell you, Why Me, let me introduce myself.
I am from Mumbai, India and my story began in 2000 when by chance I was pulled by friends on a trek to Bhimashankar, in Maharashtra, on the pretext of going for a picnic which actually was a trek which we did over 2 days.
This trek sowed the seeds of adventure and trekking in me whihc got a major boost in 2007 when I trekked first time in Ladakh, India. Since then I have trekked regularly in the Himalayas and closer home in the Sahyadri mountains of Maharashtra.
I have done 150+ treks in the Sahyadris and the Himalayas. I have my own personal trekking blog at www.trekwithnazir.com.
I am sharing most of my trek experiences in the blog to encourage understanding about trekking and inspiring more and more people to fall in love with the mountains.
I have done most of my treks with local organizers from the region. For e.g I have done the following five treks with Altitude Adventure
- Stok La (2007)
- Lamayuru to Chilling (2009)
- MarkhaValley (2011)
- Stok Kangri (2017) and
- Chadar Trek (2018)
Altitude Adventure India has a wonderful team of locals in the Ladakh region who can organize and deliver a fantastic trek experience.
But trekkers (especially beginners) require proper guidance even before the trek has begun. They need guidance on:
- Physical fitness preparation
- Selection/ Purchase of the right gears and accessories
- Dealing with Altitude Sickness
- Travel arrangements
Trekkers also need to be updated regularly about the trail conditions, weather, and safety.
Being a trekker myself, I have faced these challenges and learned the hard way.
Based on my 17 years of trekking experience and having trekked with them many times, I intend to help Altitude Adventure deliver a professional trek experience to trekkers.
As a trekking expert, I intend to bridge the gaps by sharing my knowledge with new trekkers.
I hope with my guidance I am able to enhance the overall quality of your trek experience.
